These are the shots we covered during our short time. I know
some of the lighting within these shots are off and will need work but right
now I am focused just on the shot positioning.
From there we went on to work on Lewis’s script for his FMP.
We had already gone over the concept of his drama and I
found it really fascinating. His drama is based on a male who has lost someone
he loves and is trying to cope living without her, he is under the impression
that she was murdered but there is someone else involved that he has always been
around but never knew he was there. This
drama is something I especially enjoy to watch and writing for it was a
challenge as Lewis wanted it to concentrate on the psychological aspect of a
damaged mind. We simply bullet pointed all key aspects such as letters the
character receives and little quirks he has. I wasn’t aware of the locations
Lewis had in mind so I couldn’t really imagine the set designs for each room
but I did what I could, hopefully the locations will have enough room to
perform some actions the characters do.
When Lewis did his pitch for his FMP with the tutors, he was
recommended to remove all the characters apart from the main male protagonist
but we thought it would be easier for the audience to understand what actually
caused the death if we did have a female character but only show her in the
flashbacks. At one section the male protagonist has an intense conversation
with himself which I found difficult considering I didn’t know what Lewis
wanted revealing at this time so I am going to wait until I next see him at
college.
Today was a productive day for both Lewis and I, however I
want to have another reccy with the camera equipment so that I cover all camera
positions.
